Your reflections are yours. Your email is yours. Here's exactly how we treat both.

1. Our Approach
HiKristen is operated by KDH Publishing. We collect as little information as the experience requires, we never sell what you give us, and the most personal things on this site — your devotional answers, prayers, and journal entries — are visible to you and you alone.
This policy describes what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using the site you accept these practices.
2. Information We Collect
- —
Account information
If you create an account: your name and email address.
- —
Subscription information
If you subscribe: your email address and, optionally, your first name and topic preferences.
- —
Your personal content
Devotional reflections, personal prayers, journal entries, and progress are stored privately against your account. Other members cannot see them.
- —
Public submissions
Anything you choose to submit publicly — prayer wall requests, testimonies, story pitches — is published as you provide it.
- —
Purchase information
Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details.
- —
Usage information
Like most websites, we collect basic analytics — pages viewed, device type, and approximate location — to understand what's working.
3. How We Use It
To deliver the content you asked for, send emails you subscribed to, process orders, keep the site secure, and make the magazine better. We don't use your personal reflections for anything at all — they exist so you can return to them.
4. What We Never Do
We never sell, rent, or trade your email address or personal information to advertisers or data brokers. We don't build advertising profiles from your devotional activity, prayers, or reading history. Sponsorships are sold as placements, not as access to you.
5. Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies for the basics (keeping you signed in, remembering preferences) and aggregate analytics to understand traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings; the site will still work, though some conveniences may not.
6. Email
We only email people who subscribed or have an account. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out works immediately. If you subscribed to specific topics, we honor those preferences.
7. Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us operate — payment processing, email delivery, and hosting — under strict confidentiality, or when required by law. If the company is ever sold or restructured, your information may transfer with it, under this same policy.
8. Security & Retention
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to team members who need it, and we keep information only as long as it serves the purpose above — plus any period required by law (for example, transaction records for tax compliance). Deleting your account removes your personal content and subscription.
9. Your Rights
Wherever you live, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by sending us a message through the form below. If you're in the EEA, UK, or California, you have additional legal rights (GDPR/CCPA), including the right to object to processing and to data portability. We respond within 30 days.
10. Children
HiKristen is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.
11. Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date above. Material changes will be announced on the site. Your continued use after an update means you accept it.
