Step Out...BY FAITH! #RelationshipTip

Updated: Jan 8, 2022

OH MY GOSH!

It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged! This picture is from 2020 during our pandemic lockdown. I can tell you, soooo much has changed. If you're like me, you. are. not. the same person you were last year! So much has changed for me, including starting a bible study, joining a nonprofit, writing a book, etc. Anywaysss, in these posts, you will read and bear witness to some of my life lessons and my many adventures of walking by faith.

One major lesson God has taught me is the importance of “stepping out on the word”. In life, I've learned the importance of the concept, “just trust God”. Meaning, simply step out on His word...listen, obey then trust Him with the results.

Remember when Peter was in the boat and the storm was raging? Peter wanted proof that it was Jesus walking on the water. So He said, “Lord if it be you, bid me come”…Jesus said “come”, and this was Peter's way. There was no other way to get to Jesus except to have faith and step out on His word. Peter had to believe Jesus and believe in the power of His word...and He did! Peter’s faith and action was the activator that made what he wanted come to pass. The way was already made. The path was already made. All he had to do was step out on the word.

The dilema today though is the faith to step out. We lack the fortitude to ”step out” because there is a lack of God’s word in our hearts.

Since the bible says, “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17 KJV) and “we walk by faith and not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV), it implies that we use the Word of God to build our faith so that we can access that which is only received by faith. The key to accessing abundance in everything you need, whether in the spirit realm or in the physical realm, is faith. This powerful life element is cultivated in the word of God. BUT YOU MUST stop for a while and spend time reading the Word. Place less emphasis on the abundance of information on social media, going hangout at local events, etc so that you can manifest the life God has promised you in His word. Build up your faith to fuel your actions by spending time in the Word of God.

There is no way to have great faith in Jesus, or faith at all, without the proper information. The information you need is in God’s word.

Biblical Steps of Faith:

Search It out- Find the scriptures in the Word of God that pertain to your situation.

Make your request known- Pray to God, your Father, in the name of Jesus. Present to him your desire. Sometimes you may need to seek God and ask Him His will pertaining to what you are requesting. Simply ask, “Lord can I have this? What do you say? I have a say, but I acknowledge and give You the last say”. Listen for instruction or wisdom concerning what you are seeking.

Stand in Faith- Understand that God heard you. He is willing and able to give you what you ask for according to His will. Listen for instruction or wisdom concerning what you are seeking.

Give God Praise- Thank God for the things He has already done. Thank him in advance that you have what you pray for.

Go for it - If what you are asking for requires your action (many times it does), with God's guidance, go get what you've requested. (This is the ‘stepping out on the word’ part…)

or

Continue to stand- Speak the word, thank God, listen for instruction Expect to receive…(This, also, is the ‘stepping out on the word’ part…)

God can and will work on your behalf!! You must be willing to consistently stand and believe the word. Like Peter, you'll be doing the impossible (walking on water)! Like me, your life won't look the same!
