Day 5:

The Great “I Am”

Let this inspire your walk with the Father:

The names of God are generally his characteristics and how He wants to reveal Himself to us. Read the “Names of God” chart below. Instead of focusing on the  Hebrew translation, focus on the actual meaning (description) of  each word, i.e. Jehovah Shalom = “The Lord is Peace”, Jehovah Rapha = “The Lord Who Heals”

Action Steps: In your prayer time today, praise God for who you need Him to be. Use the chart to find which characteristic you need Him to be and praise Him as that. Praise Jehovah Shalom and watch Him show you His peace

Prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for your presence and your  love. You know me and you desire to be known by me. God show me who you are. Reveal yourself to me. Help me to talk with you and not shy away from questions of uncertainty. Help me to know that you are the Great I AM who can be trusted with all that I am…including hurt, questions, uncertainty. Give me the grace to hear and understand. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Time with the Father:

  1. Which attribute of God resonates with you the most? Why?

  1. Which attribute of God resonates with you the least? Why?

  1. In this season of your life, which one(s) do you need the most? Why?
